Have you ever heard the saying “Put your feet in my shoes?”

Well, if you try to put someone else’s shoes on, chances are they won’t fit… they’re either the wrong size or the style may not be comfortable for your feet.

Got the picture…

This encouraging word looks at this saying two ways:

1. Putting your feet in someone else’s shoes can be a disrespect towards the Lord for He made you to walk your own path the way He specifically created you to walk. So be carful you are not comparing yourself to someone else’s walk and trying to fill their shoes, fill your own. By going to God Creator of All, He created you special and unique in your own way by His Will you will accomplish much more meaningful things glorifying Him because He loves us so much, that each one of us has their very own specific way to bring Glory to His Kingdom in a way pleasing and perfect, with Holy Spirit dwelling in us we are led by Gods Holiness, goodness and knowledge.

2. On the other hand/foot, (lol) when we come along someone in a struggle and don’t bend a little into compassion for that person within a specific need, how can we pray an honest heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father not somehow feeling for them in a loving way or comforting them with tenderness, (I guess this is where the saying makes a little sense, put yourself in their shoes, but remember we may have never gone through what they have so we shouldn’t pretend to know what they are going through, we need to only sit with them and pray and pray also with Gods promises for their life) we don’t completely need to put their shoes on but we need to come along them with loving-kindness for this is the Lords way.

We are special and important the way we are, as long as we continue growing in the Lord. Lace up your shoes and press toward the goal of a life that is good and pleasing to the Lord, we are made by Him and for His purpose so let’s keep moving forward gaining the victory Jesus laid down His life for and with the equipping of the Holy Spirit we are not without proper knowledge and wisdom in this life to conquer the way God intended us to walk this walk in our own shoes.

Ephesians 2:10 NIV. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Galatians 6:2 NIV. Carry each others burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Lord I pray and thank You for the way You made me I am grateful for the shoes You equip me to fill. Lord, help those struggling with wearing their own shoes to be refreshed in You and by Your refreshing they without any doubt know You gave them also the right shoes to fill. By Your Word of Truth and the Promises You have allowed for us to be blessed immensely, I thank You Lord and through Your blessings allow Your people to know more about You and that You specifically made each one of us in a way good and pleasing to You, for we are to bring You glory in your Kingdom. Lord reassure those who need a reassurance that they are on the right path that only their own feet can fill the shoes You meant for that specific person to wear. Lord I pray Your people will run to You without doubt, for You hold perfectly to the answers they are looking for. Thank You Holy Spirit, I pray Lord, Holy Spirit speaks clearly to all who seek wisdom. Lord I pray You help for us to have compassion and loving-kindness the way Jesus did to those we come alongside in a moment of uncertainty. In Jesus precious and Holy name, Amen.

Philippians 2:1&2 NIV. 1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
