Are we actors in a sitcom, acting different parts of a character who we play for an hour during a television series? No, this is real life and once we accepted our Savior we died to self and gained life in abundance.
I know I am not perfect but who is???
Jesus.
Reminding all of us, if we are without sin cast the next stone, if we are ‘God’ we are the rightful judge; NOPE not I and not any of you…
Blunt yes, but I have heard others commenting on ‘Christians’ and the reports are not good.
We need to smarten up. All of us.
Just because we are ‘Christians’ does not give us the right to think of ourselves as better than anybody else or think we are of a higher class – like those classified on the ship of ‘Titanic’, each level marked your value and worth and those with money were classified better than anyone else, they were placed on the top shelf, if you know what I mean. (upper decks) Not the case here folks we are all equal and no one is better then another person, sin is sin, and perfection is not our forte but that doesn’t mean we don’t try to not sin and try to follow our Fathers example on how He seen fit for us to be, this life is tough yes and people are hard to get along with at the best of times but we need to do what our Heavenly Father says to-do, written in the book of truth it’s our navigation system to have an enjoyable life this side of Heaven, spend time in the ‘Word’ so we can become knowledgeable in how to get through walking on earth.
*A lot of good we’re doing calling ourselves Christians if we aren’t even a true example of one…
*How many souls are being lost because of the way we act, if we can’t even level ourselves and know everyone is equal. (I am not saying follow suit with a sinful life, others do, just so one day you can tell them about the Lord, don’t exclude people who aren’t Christians – you were not a Christian your whole life and some find Jesus earlier than others).
*Christians we can’t stand in the gap for the Lord when we aren’t truthful about who we are, besides we’re supposed to act in a way that represents God’s ‘Kingdom’. Ezekiel 22:30 NIV. I looked for a man among them who would build a wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none. Does no good when we think we are on a higher pedestal and think we can get away with looking at people sideways when we think they do something we don’t like or don’t agree with it, we all have our moments, right? Maybe you won’t agree but I am going to call us all out on it. Let’s smarten up biblically speaking since we are called by God, we are called to all the things God created us to be to be kind, compassionate. 2 Peter 1:3 NIV. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Ephesians 4:32 NIV. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you. We also better think about who we are serving – a loving God who forgave and forgot our sins or ourselves thinking were better than everyone else, when we are not.
When we choose to be a follower of Christ we choose to die to self and for God, to give up our old life. Colossians 3:3 NIV. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Just because we don’t walk in the sinful ways we once did, does not give us the right to ‘Judge’ or it does not give us the right to dismiss others still stuck in a bondage, we also have no right at all but to be a loving example of our Heavenly Father because we are God’s kids and we need to act like our Father.
What kind of Christians are we…one’s that represent God well? Or one’s that people needing saved want nothing to do with, because of our judgement.
What makes us a Christian…Loving and accepting all, the way God does, or loving and accepting only those who we feel are worth it?
What is the character of a Christian…A Godly Christian who knows all souls matter, or 1st class Christian who only thinks they matter?
I heard this report – saying Christians are the ‘WORST’… not cool – Our God is a loving God and no one is above another, its sad that people stay away from us or Church because we are labeled as better than everyone else, no one is God He is the only One who can save, set free, love unconditionally, deliver, redeem, make us new, resurrect, breathe life into, none of us can so let us stop trying to be God thinking we are better, God is best lets act like our Heavenly Father ‘Loving’ and ‘Stop’ being something we are not – God.
Lord thank you for your love and accepting us, we repent of our sins and ask forgiveness for trying to be You, we are not You, I am glad You are God for You are Almighty not us. Father, I ask for your help in our characters so we represent You well and stop thinking we are above another person, we are all equal. Help remind us of that convict our thoughts and remove debris in our hearts that linger about high class. God, I want to look at those You love the way You do and example Your greatness not my own, with Love your daughter. Plead the Precious Blood of Jesus over all, in Jesus name, Amen.
1 Corinthians 10:24 NIV. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.
1 Thessalonians 2:10-12 NIV. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12 encouraging, comforting, and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his Kingdom and glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:12 NIV. May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
