Upside down…

What to do when the gifts you think you have, are - actually the gifts you don’t have? And when you also dream of the way you think God will bless you and He doesn’t?
Or you get sidetracked into a wilderness of sorts because you can’t really find your way so you lean in further and find yourself fully immersed into moments you never thought you’d ever be in, and there ‘good’.
Or to top it all off prayers you’ve been praying aren’t being answered, you think they’ve been just floating in the wind even after your declaring promises that are written in the Word of God, trusting that the Lord will answer you, but He hasn’t yet, you begin to wonder… but have to sit and wait… Honestly, we don’t know what is good for us only God does. He’s the Creator of all man, He designed us, so here’s the reality… realize you don’t know what’s best for you, let the way of God lead the way for you.
Since it is all written, in a form we can all read and relate to, the bible constructs a strong foundation for all of us to stand on, written in many different translations – ‘We’ can all learn and understand.
Why? Do I bring such a confusing topic to attention? because I can guarantee we have all been here, seasons of change that don’t make any sense and seasons of leaning in more toward our Heavenly Father or seasons of turning and running the other direction. Sometimes when we are faced with these types of confusing times of change or just simply that we are confused with the thoughts and desires we once had about our lives have turned upside down or have turned a 360 degrees angle, do we ‘Just go with it’ or fight against it trying to gain the axis back for our own control??? (Its human nature after all to want to keep controlling things especially when it involves our lives).
Well here is my clarifying story to get us all refocused… ready…
I thought certain things in my life were on the right path until they weren’t, as I became more balanced and learning to remove myself from the ‘All about ME’ mentality we are all faced with in this twisted up self-reflected world, I realized where we find the things we lack. Looking in towards my heart and knowing God has it was one way I remain less self-focused and also realize the gifts of blessing we can share with others if we remove ourselves.
I am the kind of person when I feel even just slightly that I’m in the line of fire I will retreat, it used to be that I would stand and fight but for a long while I’ve noticed the fight in me is slim to none, this saddens me writing these words, - cause it admits a giving up attitude, admitting out loud defeat before there is even a battle to face instead of falling into the Lord for the winning…is the same as giving up…Huh! I had no idea.
I’m also a runner, when things feel subtle like I am going to get hurt I put battle armor on and honestly just begin to retreat, I don’t stand my ground confrontation is something everyone wants to avoid, well I do anyway. Okay so what I’m getting to is this “No matter what you can even think dream and or imagine God will overdo it for you, He is magnificently Great so when you fully fall into Him remove yourself He has great immaculate things in store for you, you can’t even think, when you remove yourself you let God do what God does.
When we hold onto our own stuff its like God is a traffic light that’s red and won’t change to green, so remove yourself and even in the waiting of God’s timing and all you feel like your doing is wasting time in REST He’s working behind the scene on your behalf and only can God do His best work in you when you remove yourself allowing the traffic light of God to turn green so He can bless you and give you a life we are all meant to have. And a reminder not everything you want or think you need is what you’re going to get because God knows what is best for your life and He will only give you the best.
Romans 8:27-37 NIV. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the Saints in accordance with God’s will. 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to is purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined, to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified he also glorified. 31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who dies-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Should trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life. Neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
