During this time of year everything is docile and waiting to be released into beauty.
Brown dullness cascades all around us and while everything is laying dormant, new buds from trees, flowers, and grass await color and life.
We can feel dull and dreary to at certain times in our lives. Seasons we endure may be days, months or even years where we can become docile, waiting for our life’s season to change.
While Springtime is a season that brings new life, in the changing and waiting of green grass and colored flowers we can lean into the ugliness of the season of Spring.
BUT… When we ask and seek God in these times of seasonal change, He will bring forth the beauty before it is even visually seen. We can imagine buds of life on trees starting to form before they do, we can ask God to help us see beauty when its docile, dull and brown. We can Spiritually see this Spring season as a great time to practice seeing with Spiritual eyes to help us through other docile times, where we are waiting for life's moments to be filled with love and color.
Springtime is beautiful, because just when you think nothing is going on in the seasonal change of Spring or in your season in life where you are waiting for something to happen, guess what? something is happening in these dormant moments, God is happening, as He brings life of new buds into the Spring season He will bring life of new buds into your season of dormancy in your life to.
God hears our prayers and knows our hearts better then we know, so for that we need to trust that the dull brown areas where green grass and flowers are not yet visible, will be breath taking in our lives.
‘Crocus’: is a brightly colored flower that blooms right after a long winter, and leads the way for other bloomers to follow. It’s one of the many first signs of Spring and while still awaiting their arrival, God will reveal this pretty fragrant flower at just the right time. Crocuses small and mighty this flower also pulls hungry Bee’s out of their hives for some well needed pollination.
Isaiah 35:1&2 NIV. 1 The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; 2 it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of the Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.
Hosea 6:3 NIV. Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.
