Replenishment…

I’m not going to nail down all the ways we can go and find replenishment because they will only last for a very short time.

So, I will encourage you to find an everlasting way of replenishment instead. I know this because of how many times I have fallen flat on my face in replenishment that isn’t going to continually pour outright.

I never slept at all last night there seemed to be a thorn in my sides, yes both, turn this way that way back and forth I tousled this way and that, completely unsettled all night long. Usually when this happens, I get up and spend time with the Lord and ask Him what this is all about, then I’m led to prayer. But this night was distracted, wavery and very different, I couldn’t sense and was in a state of frustration, unable.

When I woke if we can call it that I turned to Micah I was around verse 6 going into 7 and here this book talks about rising up out of the darkness, moving forward into the book of Nahum 1:7 NIV. The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble, He cares for those who trust in him. Staying right we head into Habakkuk – praying no matter what and in verse 3:19 NIV. The sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. As I keep treading on Gods Holy ground Zephaniah encourages to thirst for more of the Lord and to sit quietly and wait patiently to hear His voice for the Lord will sing to you and a powerful reminder comes in Zephaniah 3:17-20 NIV. 17 The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”18 “The sorrows for the appointed feasts I will remove from you; they are a burden and reproach to you. 19 At that time I will deal with all who oppressed you; I will rescue the lame and gather those who have been scattered. I will give them praise and honor in every land where they were put to shame. 20 At that time I will gather you; at that time I will bring you home. I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes,” says the Lord.

In closing I reached Haggai – and my answer came and replenishment fulfilled me. All of these promises took me where I needed to go and to whom I needed the downpour. Replenishment that we require comes in many different forms. Haggai warns us to not get caught up in the worlds ways and views the importance of looks and stuff, for when we neglect our walk with the Lord… Haggai says it best in verse 1:9&10 NIV. “You expected much but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew it away. Why?” declares the Lod Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house. 10 Therefore because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.

A Little while later God’s blessing will come, for the people turned away from their own selfishness and reiterated the importance of the things that touch Gods heart. When this became their vocal point, complete replenishment and satisfying means came from God, for He could not bless a prideful heart but He could out pour on those who knew everything belongs to God – silver, gold, crops, oil, wine, cattle, remember everything, even the labor work of men’s hands. Gods promise is written in verse 2:23 NIV. “On that day declares the Lord Almighty, I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

Similar to a stamp of approval, kings would stamp letters that carried important messages with their signet rings dipped in wax and crested with their, lets says logo and messengers would carry the important document to the receiver. In this case our important document per-say would be our coming One and Only King Jesus, and us as receivers if we so chose. Opening up our hearts to receive Him for no one comes to the Father except through me (Jesus) the one of all authority, who know sits at the right hand of God and releases out the Holy Spirit to those who ask shall receive.

Lord I pray verse 6 & 7 in Haggai as a spoken promise 6 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. This is Your truth Lord so I pray this promise in Jesus name, Amen.
