James 1:23 &24 NIV. 23 Anyone who listens to the word and does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in the mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
During the past week I was in a bit of a rut and the verse God showed me was just what I needed to overcome and gain the perseverance, strength and the wisdom to help me. Colossians 2:6 & 7 NIV. 6 So then just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
When I get stuck, need to revamp or I stumble… I go to God’s Word and find a scripture, verse, or passage to help me become unstuck, to be picked up and to be revamped from my way to God’s grace. I either find an encouraging word from a fellow believer, I pray for the Lord to equip me in the way I should go and ask for wisdom and guidance and God always, always, always brings me through one way or another.
What verse speaks to you week to week? Last week was Colossians 2:6 & 7 this Word of God’s Truth put me back on track.
This week’s Word is Romans 5:1-5 NIV. 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we rejoice in our suffering, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character, and character hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given.
After I find God’s Word, I treasure it upon my heart and repeat it at different times throughout the day during that particular week.
Conclusion: Remember to always go to God first, tell Him your issues and pray for His way to come through you so you can better gain control of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions in this reflection of the Lord you are now lined up with God and His character comes through you better and you are now able to move on in a good sense, God’s way.
Heavenly Father I thank you for Your Word and am grateful that when I stumble You bring to my attention Your Word and it is exactly what helps me. I pray that others will follow this example and be led to You first and You will provide the right way for them to go, that Your Word will also speak to them clearly so they can get back on track with You. Lord I thank You for Your love and grace, in Jesus name Amen.
