Sometimes we need to fight ourselves…

When God prepares a way for us, we ought to know by the scriptures, God gives good gifts and God loves all. He would not have sent His ‘Son’ to the cross otherwise. So, when your fighting God realize that you’re in the way of something great, start fighting yourself. Sounds funny, yes, and honestly, I can’t even count how many times God has tried to bless me in some beautiful way and ‘I’ had been the one to hold myself back from what he wanted to carry out for me.

Set aside selfish ambitions / selfishness of any kind and put off your prideful ways and the ‘All about me mindset’ and push past yourself standing in the way of trusting God. Find your scripture promise to stand on and fall into Gods way, for God will catch you in all you do, when lined up with His word and His will. If you are in the way and find whatever you are doing is a tough battle and nothing is budging, it’s probably not what God has been nudging you to do for your life. Pray and ask that you would surrender to Him for better guidance, and on the other hand when you are facing a tough battle and are fighting through it slowly you begin to notice there are small forward movements happening, every time you battle through it, Gods will is showing up after all. When you are going His way there will be tough moments too, the enemy will try to keep us from good God gifts. Be ware and ask Holy Spirit for discernment so you can push through with prayers and be able to release your situation to God and trust if it’s His will, you will eventually break through the barriers the enemy tries to put in our way.

Stop fighting with God, and fight yourself.

Fight through ‘You’ standing in the way of God.

Anytime you agree with the enemy you are standing in the way of yourself, and more importantly Gods.

Jonah 1:1-3 NIV. 1 The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: 2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” 3 But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish, he went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying a fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

Genesis 32:24 NIV. So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.

Job 13:3 NIV. But I desire to speak to the Almighty and to argue my case with God.

Jonah flees from God, Jacob wrestled with God, Job argued with God. (There are more people in the bible who also fought against God and had to eventually realize they were in the way of great things God wanted for His people. His people also meaning you and me).

Jonah 3:10 NIV. When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened.

Genesis 32:28 NIV. Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, (which means ‘he struggles with God’) because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome.”

Job 42:12 NIV. The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand donkeys.

Psalm 34:8 NIV. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

I highly encourage you to read the ‘FULL’ stories of

Jonah, Jacob and Job. Because sometimes you will have to push harder past the enemy to get to the good stuff of God like Job did.

Blessings to you all.
