When we hear prayers being prayed over us; they are beautiful, encouraging, uplifting, caring prayers and they are spoken words out of love for us.
We want to capture the words and hold tightly to those beautiful moments of prayer.
We want to record them so we can replay them on repeat over and over again just to hear the love coming out in a prayer for us.
We want to keep hearing the spoken words for healing, deliverance, overcoming, replenishing, strength, and peace we crave through a prayer being prayed especially for us.
‘Don’t get me wrong, this is all well and good’! BUT… if we only hang onto the prayer being prayed over us, we are only holding onto the prayer.
What about letting the prayers being prayed go to the Lord, so He can do what He needs to do. Instead of us wanting to hang onto the prayers people pray over us lets hang on to the promises within the prayer God will return to us. By us holding onto to the promises within the prayers being prayed over us there’s a ‘WAY’ better gift coming for us then just the gift of a prayer someone has spoken over us.
Jesus intercedes on our behalf so praying to our Holy Savior answers will come, I truly believe in even more abundance when we let God have our prayers. God cannot and will not be able to give freely if we don’t hold on to the promises written for us to gain.
When we hold onto a prayer, its just that a prayer, but when we hold onto promises God entitles us to have declaring the promises entitled to us, we then can capture and celebrate the outcomes meant for us to have even more.
So, let go of the spoken words of prayer people pray over you and hold on to and continue to speak the promises God gives when people pray for us.
You can speak out loud the most beautiful moving prayer imaginable but if you hold onto the prayer and don’t ever deliver it to God, the answer to prayers may never come.
Hold onto Gods promises not the prayers, let them go so you can have answered prayers.
While you let God have your prayers…in the mean-time YOU be thankful and grateful He hears you and the people praying for you, continue to thank Him for the answers coming your way, and you will be truly blessed.
*(In turn, remember to pray also for those praying for you). *
Hebrews 7:25 NIV. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
1 Chronicles 5:20 NIV. They were helped in fighting them, and God handed the Hagrites and all their allies over to them, because they cried out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in him.
