I was having a conversation with the Lord the other day, I was frustrated and at wits end with trying to get a ‘YouTube Channel’ up and running and it’s a lot more than I thought, more time than I thought would go into the creating of the channel and I didn’t think it would be so difficult to name the channel, by the end of researching and trying to figure out a cool name I decided to just go with my own, nope taken… as this pushed me into my angry zone after spending not only countless hours but days to get this whole simple ‘YouTube’ thing figured out (they said just do this, this and this and your up and running) nope it does not work like that. My husband’s advice to me usually is ‘if it is going to stress you out, don’t do it’. Yep he’s usually right about that but since this is my walk with the Lord, I have to set aside my frustration and push through. For me this is also out of my comfort zone. The ‘YouTube’ thing is not my idea it’s God’s and I want to please Him and obey so perseverance here we come, trust, and having faith that the Lord will carry me through…YES!...

So, you got the just of my frustration and while the anger tried taking over, I had to take a deep breath and refocus, if God wants this to be it’ll be, in the meantime I prayed repentance over getting angry. (I get so upset with myself when I try to be – a perfect little angel and then fall short, I beat myself up a lot).

My words of advice were “April, daughter if I wanted you to walk perfectly I would have made your life purpose to be Jesus and you would of taken Jesus’ spot, set out for the tasks aligned for His purpose, but I made you – you, perfect in my own image. Stop beating yourself up when you fall short of being perfect beyond what I want for you, when you are angry and frustrated come to me and I will give you rest and reassurance, because I care for you and what troubles you face, remember I can give you peace, and perfection comes from me so I will perfect you.”

Matthew 5:48 NIV. Therefore, you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

It’s interesting to know that God made me special to do the things He set out for me and my journey, not to do what Jesus has done, my steps are laid out the way I need to walk them and Jesus was to walk in His steps, yes we are to example Him but if we try to be perfect and if you are like me you’ll end up beating yourself for the failures we come across sometimes daily, as long as we see that when we make a mistake we are not a failure we just need to grow more in that specific area and when we fall short to repent right away so we can right our wrong and carry on into peace rather than letting that wrong lead us the rest of the way down a terrible path, the longer you wait the harder it’ll be to break the bad habit, turning you onto the enemy’s path. The conviction of the Holy Spirit is a good lesson, one that keeps us growing in becoming who God created us to be, but beating ourselves up is the enemy’s tactic to make us feel less than.

Psalm 119:96 NLT. Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limits.

Jesus is perfect why because He came as a Holy symbol straight from the Most High Lord, God Almighty, He was born a Savior and to do a task we were never made to do, Jesus did what none of us could ever accomplish and this is why, God came down in human form to save us.

Me and you have our own path laid out for us and we need to stop beating ourselves up when we make a mistake here and there, none of us are perfect and that’s okay. Let’s be led by peace and if some-thing stresses us out let’s take a deep breath and remember to be led by peace, some of our walk with the Lord will push us past our limits and we may get uncomfortable but if it is for the good of God’s people and allows God’s grace to flow through go for it, because peace will still help us to overcome. Remember if peace doesn’t come, more prayer is required or it is something you simply should not do, talk to the Lord – He will let you know what to do next.

2 Corinthians 13:11 NIV. Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Heavenly Father, I love that You have an immeasurable amount of love because since it never fails it carries me through moments of frustration and when I feel angry. When I go through my tough moments, I call to You and You refocus me with Your peace and I’m thankful. Thank You for the way You have made me, and are shaping me. Lord help me to always remember to look to You for Your peace to carry me through the tough times, I truly don’t want to become angry or frustrated but I know when I come to You, I’ll find rest and comfort. I thank You that I can call to You and ask for You to help me press on with our walk together and that You guide me with Your peace and love becomes more visible with every step I take on the path You have set before me. Help all of us to always look to You for Your peace and since You are capable it allows for us to become capable too, thank You for perfecting me in my weakness and I ask Lord that You will continue to help perfect us all the way you designed us to be, for Your glory Lord. In Jesus, Precious and Holy name, Amen.

In closing notes, we can still attain perfection but only through our Lord Christ Jesus who is the only one Holy and without sin who has freed us to become like Him who is perfect. When we have accepted Him through believing in Him, He has set us free from a sinful nature and therefore we can become perfect because He lives in those who accepts Him as Lord over their life. Keep soaking in the Word of God’s Truth to guide us every day and every moment, when we press into the Word of God and follow His ways this is how we can become self-controlled, blameless and pure.

Psalm 119:9 NIV. How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.

I agree with Paul: Philippians 3:12-14 NIV. 12 Not that I already have obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
