Overthinking…

I am an over thinker…what can I say, I am a WOMAN. But quite honestly it doesn’t always help every situation. I am also sensitive…

Are there things about you that you classify as bad things about yourself or things you wish you could change or not struggle with? Well, I want to encourage you that even if you have things about yourself or you think are bad and you would like to change, I’d like to say embrace even the quirks or tough things you can’t always control about yourself they make you, YOU! Sometimes those things about yourself are good things being aware or the not so smooth side is a great way to balance YOU.

Since I am an over-thinker, a woman, and sensitive it’s a pretty hefty combination – the negative part is;

Overthinking: allowing thoughts to overtake situations that are not even there.

Woman: allowing hormones to dictate our lives.

Sensitive: allowing emotions to guide our way.

Losing control over these traits only promotes the enemy to come and steal our moments, having control over these traits and being able to adjust ourselves where needed allows us to gain Gods way of how we were created in the first place, in Gods image and made out of love not overthinking negatively but positively, not sensitive to the point of emotional breakdowns but emotions of a caring heart, being a woman doesn’t have to be that we are guided by our hormones within our bodies, that we are beautiful, special women and we are above our hormones.

The moment we give in to any of our ‘off’ traits is the moment we don’t handle life we give it away, the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy, ruin our life take our moments away confuse and cause deconstruction like a whirlwind or even a subtle little tale of lies to kick us off track to undesirable things just the way he wants it and we have no clue cause were caught up either in emotions or being to blind to see the simplicity of the beautiful life our Heavenly Father wants for us.

I wonder how we can get access to our emotions before they run off go wild and we look up and realize were now stuck in situations we want nothing to do with.

#1 take a breath

Acts 17:25 NIV. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. (Being that we are woman we are made from mans rib so therefore when the bible refers to man it’s including women in the same.)

Job 33:4 NIV. The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. (A promise we are made of the Lord not the enemy, so be careful who you give yourself to and allow to guide your life.)

#2 eyes focused on Him

Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV. 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (No holds on us for the proven verse that removes all that hinders us and since we have an author of our lives and perfecter of our faith we only need to look to God and all will fall into place.)

#3 Armor on

Ephesians 6:11 NIV. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. (Keep yourself in a protective cover always as to deflect any and everything the enemy tries to knock you over with.)

On another note overthinking should be done in prayer, being sensitive should be something you are for the Lords guidance, being who you were created to be as a woman you should shine and embrace all of who you are. Be thankful and grateful you are a WOMAN.
