Mock Combat

Do you think those going into a war zone don’t first establish a mock combat zone to practice their ‘call of duty’ before going straight into where the real action is? They do establish a mock combat and then run through a bunch of scenarios to better think on in the moment when they are in the thick of it.

I believe we too have responsibilities to practice our Mock Combat in the kingdom of God. We need to establish ourselves better in Him so that when a riled-up situation surfaces we are more than ready to defeat the enemy properly with the Word of God. If we don’t spend time with the Lord in the Word, we are ill-equipped.

Here are 3 ways to participate in mock combats:

#1 meet with other believers to spend time with God, where 2 or 3 are gathered there am I in the midst.

-        You learn about God’s Word together

-        You pray together

-        You help each other by carrying each other’s burdens.

#2 commit to a church joining a congregation, who’s Pastors heart is steadfast in the Lord, is helpful.

-        The presence of the Lord is so much stronger with the more people that meet together.

-        More testimonies are revealed the relate to others in a big way where God shows up in that person’s life.

#3 intimately spend time alone with God, just you and Him.

-        this enables you to build a strong foundation for yourself to seek God and be built up by the Holy Spirit someone else cannot build your relationship for you, its important its your special connection with the Lord.

-        There are so many ways to spend alone time with God; I blog to spend time with God, I worship, pray, fast, read His Word of course and reading the Bible from front to back is a gift (the Holy Spirit will ignite just the right scriptures at just the right times to encourage someone else and even you), take communion, fellowship with others at church, I lead a Ladies Group. I write books, and poetry, and I try, try, try so hard to be a great example for others around me.

Surrounding yourself with others who are seeking God is good to establishing yourself more fully in the Kingdom of God.

-        You should know the anointing; in the group setting, church setting and even in your own setting with God He should be known – if not move to another church, find another group and if its you ask what to do (fast, pray, worship, remove somethings or someone’s from your life that are holding up the presence of God for your life. – if they are not on the Word of God the anointing will not be seen, heard, or felt.

Mock combats look like this for groups setting while you all seek the Lord and learn about how His Word fully equips you for your day to days, you’ll are ready for combat the moment the enemy strikes – knowing the Word is our safe zone you defeat the enemy with the Word of God after your meeting you go away form it being able to pray more specifically toward that persons need. In a church setting a mock combat can be that while you worship together and listen together to the Word and then pray for one another as it is similar to that of a smaller group setting it is magnified for there are more seeking our God and therefore even those who have never met God before that day come into a church, they are nudged in a tender way to want to follow Jesus because of the many examples around the congregation. In your intimate alone setting with the Lord your mock combat is in a calm center environment in the secret place so sweetly immersed by Him and Him and you alone its beautiful and fulfilling, and special this helps you navigate life, and in these moments, He helps dictate to you personally

so that the world chatter that’s so wrong is removed and you clearly hear His Will not your own, others, or the world.

Heavenly Father I am grateful for the equipping we have done over the years together I ask for a Heavenly protection over all the Words You have ever spoken over me and the Words I have read on each of the pages in my Bible we have caressed together, help enhance these Words to a new level for not only me but help enhance them for all Your people. Lord, I pray You help us navigate the best strategies’ to defending ourselves against the evil one so that our mock combats aren’t in vain or for nothing. Help to establish us in You more fully and completely. I trust You, Love You and honor You Lord Your Will be done, In Jesus Precious and Holy name I pray, Amen.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work” If one falls down his friend can help him up, but pity the man that falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie together they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
