As I sit down to write, yet another book, I realize that I have spent time with the Lord in these places before, seeing the scriptures again refresh me in ways dreams are filled. Let me explain, you come across a verse and underline it, possibly even make a note in the margin of your bible, later could be days, weeks, months, (hopefully not years – months even seems too long) it would be too long to caress the pages of the ‘Book of Life’, anyway you come back, maybe even stumble upon a verse you once highlighted in some way and then the words leap off the page or come alive to you in a subtle way, OR you just seem to get it – it’s a time in your life where this scripture just speaks volumes to you. (If you prayed for your Heavenly eyes to be open, this could be why). Okay, okay the point is, don’t leave your bible on the shelf for too long you are defiantly missing out, these are words of encouragement for you, out of love from my heart to yours.

THE VERSE:

1 John 4:9&10 NIV. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son (begotten Son) into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for (as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away) our sins. I honestly highlighted this verse before but reading it again was like reading it for the first time again, I was astounded by the scripture and the word ‘might’. We ‘mightlive through him, there was no guarantee of Jesus laying down his life to take away our sins for us to accept him as our Savior over our lives and to accept the gift of eternal life. God’s love is so magnificent that the gentleman that God is still allows us to free will and choosing our destiny, that we ‘MIGHT’ live through Christ Jesus. ‘What a sacrifice’ a potential of probably, maybe by chance, not a complete for sure-for sure. WOW God loves. Then to top it all of He loved us before all this before we were a twinkle in our parent’s eye’s before we repent of sins, this is love.

1 John 3:16 NIV. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

1 John 5:12 NIV. He who has the Son has life; but he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Live your life to the fullest, accept God’s gift of life, lay yourself down, repent of your sinful life, get out your bible and hold close the promises of love for your life, meditate on the scriptures so there not so easily whisked away, ensnare them in your hearts captivate the Words of Life – Jesus sacrificed everything for you and me, let’s be the positive side of ‘might’ and carry out Gods promises.
