Let’s Boast.

I honestly believe that our weaknesses don’t have to necessarily be negative things about us. I believe the reason we have weaknesses is so that through them we find our individualized strengths but more importantly we can then look for and depend fully on our Heavenly Father God and His strength will then build us up to do what we couldn’t do in our weakness.

God wants to use you where you are weak so you can fully depend on Him and He can make you strong, so you don’t get carried away and allow pride or a boastful attitude to take place over His glory; for He, and only He, is the ‘Mighty One’ to be glorified, not us.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 NIV. 26 Brothers think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things-and the things that are not-to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Only Jesus can. I believe what Jesus has done for my life, I chose and He changed me and I believe Him. (In Word and In Example).

Psalm 34:2 NIV. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

Psalm 44:8 NIV. In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever.

Galatians 6:14 LNT. As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross my interest in all the attractive things of the world was killed long ago, and the world’s interest in me is also long dead.

Ephesians 2:9 AMP. Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. -It is not the result of what any one can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.

Be careful of what you think you have done in overcoming something you once remember as a weakness and remember ‘Boast’ only in the Lord for you yourself are unable and through Christ are able.

Lord, I pray we only ‘Boast’ for You. I pray we only ever glorify and lift You up. You are to be praised always Lord. Where we struggle with pride erase it away from our minds and our thoughts. Lord, I thank you where we are weak you help make us strong and we can ‘Boast’ about you being our strength. I thank you Lord for your love, and thank you for Jesus. Plead the precious blood of Jesus over our thoughts in our mind, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
