Jesus’ Mom…

A mother’s love is so special and is a different connection with her child than a father’s connection. Both just as important, not saying one is better than the other.

Today’s blog is just simply touching on a woman’s mothering attributes. I am a mom, so I have a mother’s prospective in shining a little light here…

Mary a young woman had been chosen to carry our Savior. God could have just shown up in human form, walking around and announcing “Hey, I’m Jesus, your Savior here to die for you and give you Eternal Life…, those who confess and believe in their heart will be saved, repent of your sins and follow me to the ultimate gift in Heaven with our Father God, you don’t go to the Father except through me, so if you receive me as your Savior your freedom awaits and there is no death for you only Eternal Life in the Heavenlies with our Father. Yes, it was that simple for our Lord to just speak anything into existence, God is almighty after all, but He wanted to express His love through Mary giving birth to a Son that would save the entire world and He wanted to emphasis what a woman’s body was capable of doing and the special connection of a mother’s touch and bond to her child only a mother can possess, the nurturing and caring for her baby only a woman can tenderly pronounce. Mary’s purpose fulfilled God’s Will and the beautiful gift she was able to produce is absolutely an outstanding miracle and that was one important reason God made available our Savior to go through a woman’s body and be birthed in a miraculous way to reveal His Love.

Matthew 1:22 & 23 NLT. 22 All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet: 23 “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”

Wow! Having a baby is no easy moment and for Mary it was that much more difficult when Jesus was born in a stable, in straw, but even so Mary’s attitude was sweetly caressed by her son held in her arms snuggled into her chest and love poured over Him for she was in awe of her baby.

Luke 2:19 NIV. But Mary treasured up all those things and pondered them in her heart.

Okay so let’s go back a couple of steps… I can’t even imagine the thoughts Mary was thinking when she was chosen for this purpose – to carry God’s child, and be born as our Savior, for the whole world. This is just one of the points I want you to take away from this encouraging word, you matter too, whether you are becoming a mom, have had children, adopted any way you want to put a stamp on the very fact you are considered a ‘mom’ – I want you to remember this ‘the place you have in that child’s life matters because they are a miracle, a gift from the Lord, a reward entrusted upon you to raise them well, your womanly attributes of loving a child are not done in the same way as a father, a woman can nurture softly and tenderly to love only as a mom does.

In all the moments of a child’s life and with all the storms that may arise remember they are a gift and you are required by God to love them the way He loves us.

Psalm 127:3-4 NKJV. 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth.

You may not be birthing Jesus or raising Jesus as Mary did but you are instilling upon them a replica of Jesus His example of life knowledge and wisdom, the how to of going about life in the mannerisms of Jesus, for He is the way the truth and the life and it is our purpose as moms to train our children up in the way they should go in the Lord, as this is pleasing to the Lord. Our purpose is to raise our kids God’s way.

Proverbs 22:6 NIV. Train, a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Heavenly Father God, I pray for all the moms in the world that you would be able to pull them in close and give them a Heavenly Father God hug, that they’d know just how important and special they are to have the purpose in life to be a mom. I pray woman will know that babies are a miracle every single one of them and that moms will come to you to find rest and fill up with your love so they can better pour it out on their children. Lord I pray a special blessing of God willed moms. I pray moms would pursue you in all storms of raising children that as they grow and change, they find the help they need to raise them right in You Lord. I pray that all children being raised in Gods way would not go astray that God seeds planted through their lives will never wither, I pray those who have lost their way circle back to pursue You with an even stronger desire for Your Will than ever before. I pray protection over all your people Lord Please be with them all and Bless them. Plead the Precious Blood of Jesus, in Jesus name, Amen.
