Do you hear the gentle whispers of our loving Lord?

The other day while cleaning my house I heard a clear warning about something we had bought on a holiday during traveling. Walking through kiosk booths in a mini pop-up market type setting these items weren’t there every-day just one day during a week they’d come and go. I suppose it was more of a selling perk to be told, you’d only get one chance to purchase the items when you first see them. Consider an impulse buy at a checkout here in our home towns, while your waiting in line to buy your merchandise you glance around and quickly decide, oh!, I need gum, a drink, chocolate bar, or batteries, lip chap, some type of gadget that scratches your own back, tuber-ware containers, key chain, and many other odd items left at checkout lines that seem to be a cool gadget and you buy impulse, thinking it’s a great idea and spend more – even after you set a specific budget and now you’re over spending – your patience has run thin waiting in the checkout line and these items begin to look real good or even real great.

When we buy on impulse, we mostly spend money on things we don’t even need. Same thing goes for our minds on impulse, when we impulsively retaliate or impulsively react in a situation or counteract on impulse during any kind of situation you may end up saying the wrong thing, stirring up a fire that is already a blaze because of someone lack of will. When you are running low on sleep, food, water – these human needs not being met cause for us to be low on will power, depleted due to lack of food and exhausted because we are lacking hydration and these are necessities for life, we cannot go too long without any of these essential life-giving constant needs our body needs to sustain life.

I may have veered a little off track here but my points are important to encourage you today…

1. Impulse buying can sometimes get you into trouble and can emulate years and years later – for me it did, with this item in my home I had an uncertain uncomfortable sense at different times passing it by and this time I pause as I walked by and God spoke so clearly to me that I knew in that moment I used to just ignore and keep walking but with this pause I was able to receive His message. This item was a figure and I had more than one – description of these pieces they were statues of two people holding one another and kissing, the message I got from God was they’re are too many lovers in this house. Now that took me by surprise because there has only been my husband and I but this gave me certainty to remove these items from our home. You see even a statue made to represent love can pose as an underlining negative created to represent something only you and your husband can share there’s no need for an object to represent that in your life. I do have another porcelain or clay couple that are encircled wrapped in each-other’s arms but I don’t get the same sense and God hasn’t told me to get rid of it, it’s made different and somethings are attached to evil spirits and the enemies pawn playing on a chess board is not my cup of tea and I pray its not your either, so if the Lord is directing you to garbage something that doesn’t belong in your life, home, mind, body, or soul get rid of it asap. Its no joke evil sprits tie themselves to many different things; items, people, stores, corners, alleys, streets, etcetera. Don’t be unsettled if you are not sensitive to things like I am, its okay, just go around your home and ask God to show you if there is anything that doesn’t belong of Him and you will get a clear message as to what needs to go. (Please don’t give it away to someone you think will like the item, dispose of it and pray over your home, in Jesus’ authority protection).

2. Impulse mind… retaliating without thinking you say what comes out first a thought paired with quick wit impulse is something you need to be carful of because the very thing coming out of your mouth can cause someone else pain, take a breath and rethink the words coming out of your mouth.

3. Impulse when will-power is at an all time low is never a good idea, this poses a defensive front and we tend to be careless and we go into a fighting mode to defend without listening.

4. Impulsive behavior due to lacking life’s essentials – we need water, food, and sleep to survive and when we are in need of any of these essentials, we cannot handle situations that come up in any way shape or form they can sometimes present themselves. Example: when we are hungry and trying to finish a project, we tend to be off kilter because all we can think about it food the fact is that we are hungry and we lack focus and therefore we coming from a lowered stand point rush and are not putting our best effort in. OR we are trying to help someone deal with a situation or it is even our own tough circumstance without food we go into a flight mode and we truly are not in the best shape to deal with either situation, most people come together to meet for coffee, tea, or a muffin, a piece of food in some way while they sort out situations because food is essential and helps us to cap off a trigger of flight mode. So, try it next time you’re dealing with something eat something together and you will have a better more focused fueled up self to handle what’s happening around you, your friend, or, loved one.

5. Impulse and doubt, at anytime you have a sense of doubt this probably when you take a breath, think about what you are doing and in the next moment you’ll be redirecting down the right choice or down a path that won’t be leading you astray.

Impulse can be tricky it can pose or even possess many problems or issues but it can also be positive by impulsively throwing away trash that doesn’t need to be in your home this is good impulse, or helping someone in an instant of impulse who’s in trouble can save a life.

Remember to not purchase anything you feel uncertain about or feel pressured to buy, you never know when you are inviting something into your life you never needed in the first place. It may look innocent at first glance by impulse but later the weary sense coming is important to stay in tuned to.

I have to admit until a kind beautiful woman reminded me to eat something, and told me it closes off our mental trigger, it wasn’t until I tried it when I was triggered and ate food I was less in a state of fight and flight mode and was settled down and calm. Food provides comfort.

In closing be aware of what you are doing at all times, before impulsively reacting in any kind of situation take a breath, before buying take a moment to think, take a moment to eat while in deep discussion with a friend who is having troubles, and rest your body so it can heal day to day, some things we face trigger us and we need to be aware of what our body needs to function so we can live properly, without the right balance we are off in some many ways and spending too much time here we then become oblivious to our surroundings, to our bodies needs and to the Lord telling us what we need to hear.

Heavenly Father help us to discover things in our homes that don’t belong in them. Help us to have a notion of balance for our lives to run pristine the way You have set up our lives to be. Lord I pray for an over flowing protection over Your people right now in the name of Jesus for all authority is His. I pray You release Your Heaven Armies over those steeping out in faith right now, unknowing what You have for their next step that they trust You fully and completely and that the Faith Abraham had for You is poured out over all so they have an unshakable foundation as Abraham. I pray we build our lives on You and You allow us all to be un-wavered, because we fall upon You when we are in a lacking state. I pray impulse is only heightened when in need of helping life and not by the ways of the worlds pushiness of you have to get this you need it – people you don’t need it, be true to God so you can be true to yourself. Stay in constancy with the Lord and eat, sleep and be well in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Proverbs 15:18 NIV. A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.

Ecclesiastes 7:8&9 NIV. The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.

Psalm 40:1 NIV. I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Galatians 6:9 NIV. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Revelation 9:20 NIV. The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshipping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood idols that cannot see or hear or walk.

2 Peter 1:3 NIV. His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

1 Peter 5:8&9 NIV. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
