Harboring a Fugitive…

Are you harboring a fugitive?

Are you agreeing with a scheme from the enemy?

Are you allowing circumstances to take you out or down?

Are you siding with the enemy?

Are you playing a role you’re not meant to?

Are you driving the getaway car?

Are you attempting to give up, walk away, close up shop, throw your hands up, or throw in the towel?

Jonah and the whale are you pulling a Jonah moment?

This could be the last round – breakthrough being right around there corner… Don’t give up!

Any of these can be a situation where you have not even realized you put yourself in and these create strongholds that cause strife in your life, moving without freedom and peace…so let’s tackle each one of these questions and slay it right down the middle.

Are you harboring a fugitive? Meaning is there something in your life you have not dealt with yet that grips you when you least expect it, because truth be told you can’t trust a fugitive you never know when they’ll pounce on you and take what’s not theirs… is there a sense of off balance in your life, where possibly unforgiveness rears, if so, your fugitive is unforgiveness and this will disrupt your life by stealing peace within you. Luke 23:24 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. these were Jesus’ last words – very important, forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. The Lord do we do.

Are you agreeing with a scheme from the enemy? Let’s say money is your drug… this analogy allows us to understand for the love of money is the enemy’s evil tactic, stated as a drug representing money in a negative way that when you side with money you are scheming with the enemy lining up with money will fix your issues in life honestly, they truly will NOT, lining yourself up in a position to receive all your needs met by God and for God will bless you beyond. 1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Philippians 4:12&13 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Are you allowing circumstances to take you out or down? 1 Kings 19 paraphrased after the miraculous power of the Lord that Elijah witnessed, he resorted to dying under the broom tree…because he was afraid of jezebel. Have you been in a round about and can’t exit, the same things keep happening around you or in your life…hmm… maybe its you. The Israelites would not step into the promise land because they were used to their circumstances around them to run the show and they were so used to the slavery in Egypt they knew not: how to do different, how to go with the change even though the new change was going to be bliss.

Are you siding with the enemy? Following suit with other people who may not be loving others the way God loves all. Siding with the enemy means you are uncapable, bound, less than, low, not enough, or in lack. Job 12:4&5 Yet my friends laugh at me, for I call on God and expect an answer. I am a just and blameless man, yet they laugh at me. People who are ease mock those in trouble. They give a push to people who are stumbling. Whose side, are you on?

Are you playing a role you are not meant to? Just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t make it right, this is where you know your participating in the wrong activities or showing up in the wrong crowds just to be seen. The Almighty sees you always-He does not sleep nor slumber He watches your coming and going both now and forevermore. Paraphrased Psalm 121:4&8 When Saul called by God on a path to Damascus was met face to face with Jesus and struck blind after he had just harmed many of the Lord’s people. Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man in my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.

Are you driving the getaway car? You may think you are not part of what’s going on inside but you drive the getaway car. You know what is going to happen, eventually, you will get caught. Knowing something you are a part of in life that is not life giving or right. Let’s meet in small groups or attend church on Sunday but you can’t seem to stop doing that one thing that no one knows about, whether it’s: drugs, porn, anger or hyperacuity, stop showing up to drive the getaway car. Song of Songs 2:15 Catch for us the foxes and the little foxes that ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom. May not seem like much but each way you position yourself can scar you or rise you up.

Are you attempting to give up, walk away, close up shop, throw your hands up, or throw in the towel? You have to truly know when the time is right walk away – only when the Lord commissions to do so, you’ll know when enough is enough allow peace to be your umpire. Colossians 3:15And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from the Christ rule (act as an umpire continually) in your hearts deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds- [in that peaceful state] to which [as members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful-appreciative, giving praise to God always. On the other hand, giving up and throwing in the towel are never options, in the Lord’s kingdom they’ll always be your choice because we serve a loving God but we are meant to succeed and when we can’t on our own ability press into Him and He will give you strength.

Are you having a Jonah moment? Jonah ran from God, but he didn’t get very far…ending up in the belly of a fish really put him in his place, the Lord knows better. Jonah 1:17 But the Lord provided a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah, was inside the fish three days and three nights.

In closing thoughts…Remember this could be the last round – breakthrough being right around the corner… Isaiah 61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead mourning, and a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor. So do not support harboring a fugitive in any way shape or form, ask the Holy Spirit to help you navigate your life and if there is in any way shape or form that you are siding with the schemes of the enemy that those ties break off in the name of Jesus right now all authority and power belongs to him and to him alone and since we accept Jesus this is set in place.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all Your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.


Lord, I thank You for allowing us to seek You. I’m grateful You are always available, for when we do come humbly before Your throne of grace You pour. And when we ask your Holy Spirit to show us anything that does not come from You – You convict us in a loving way so that we will be purified to be able to walk in the freedom and peace that Your Son delivered to each one of us at the cross. Help us all, Lord to stop harboring a fugitive of the enemy and life clean pure and love giving lives because one cannot example you while driving the getaway car or hiding in darkness Lord bring out the beasts among the reeds so we can face them head on by Your Word says in Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
