Fake IT, TILL, You Make IT…

I have never liked the saying, ‘NOR’, do I agree with this saying.
Moses never faked it in the Old Testament – Jesus never faked it in the New Testament, so why are we told to fake it? Probably because if you are not able to do something you fake it so you don’t look like a fool or get dismissed because you aren’t able to complete a task asked of you.
Some may say Moses sounded like a fool but maybe this is why God chose him, because He new Moses wasn’t going to take credit, faking that he was all swavy to lead the people. God knew Moses and as leader Moses acquired a prophet to help along the journey, Aaron. Exodus 6:30 NIV. But Moses said to the Lord, “Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?” Exodus 7:1-7 NIV. Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. 2 You are to say everything I command you, and your brother Aaron is to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites go out of his country. 3 But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my miraculous sign and wonders in Egypt, 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgement I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am Lord when I stretch out my hand against Egypt, and bring the Israelites out of it.” 6 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them. 7 Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh.
Well God knows all and sees all, the moment we fake anything is dismissing God it’s a lie and this is sin. No matter what we do we need to lean on God when we don’t have all the skills and abilities to perform a task, He made us in the first place.
Speaking in front of people Moses didn’t fake it, he couldn’t speak well and therefore Aaron covered for him but he trusted God to help him Moses didn’t get carried away in the aspect that people were depending on him to carry them through to the promised land, NO Moses knew they were depending on him but Moses knew he was depending on God to carry them through, Moses knew God was even carrying him – God equipped Moses in the way he should go whether he could speak well to the people or not, Aaron was his prophet and helped Moses. And sometimes we need someone along side us to Help us. God will either send someone with us or He will provide a way for us.
These ‘Blog Posts’ are not all mine, if I wasn’t obedient to Gods nudges the words would not get written, and with ‘Vlog Videos’ if I didn’t depend fully on God to get me through, I would not sit in front of a lens and be videoed, No way.
If we are not leaning into God for His abilities to help us through our lives and we are faking it through than we shun God, and dismissing God is sin.
Jesus to be crucified on a wooden cross for all mankind, Jesus did not fake it. A sacrifice for all people this could only be done with God’s complete help, endurance, perseverance, strength and ability, there was no faking such a task. All glory to God, opening up the way for eternal life and gift of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 19:10 NLT. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save those who are lost.
So be careful what you say, don’t fake anything, be honest, learn and grow so you can perform with truth behind your skill. You can do ‘nothing’ in your own strength but with God all things are ‘possible’.
Luke 1:37 NIV. For nothing is impossible with God.
Heavenly Father God, I pray we Your people remember to depend on You for everything and anything, that we don’t go about things in our own ways, instead we call upon You. I pray Lord people learn and gain the ability instead of faking it, help those who need to step back and be honest, help those struggling with dismissing You and not even realizing it. Lord I pray that even in our weakness honesty comes through that we are not afraid to say when we cannot do something because when we are honest this is where You shine brightest, You are the one who helps us when we are not fit, and You are the one who strengthens us when we need to push through. It’s all about You Lord and for You Lord. Thank You for accepting us even when we don’t know how to do something we don’t have to fake it with You to be accepted we are accepted just the way we are skills or no skills, and the skills and abilities we do have Lord help us to use them for Your glory and the skills we don’t have Lord instill within us what You want us to be good at for Your glory also. Lord everything and anything I look to You. I love You Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
