Did you know?
What you expose yourself to, is what is on the tip of your tongue, in your head and settles into your hearts.
Colossians 2:6&7 NLT. 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
What you surround yourself with is what you pick up and becomes the lead in your life.
Your mindset, your influence, your control.
Are you feeding the ugly beast?
When empty the negative surfaces and comes out, when no more will power is left negativity starts to control our mindset and a complaining pity party starts…Sound familiar. This is feeding the ugly beast it doesn’t take much by a negative mindset for it to take you over, to be influenced by lack of control with the negative being the leader, filling up with the worldly ambitions.
Colossians 2:8 NIV. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principals of this world rather than on Christ.
When I’m tired, it’s the worst. I know for a fact when I’m running low on God’s ‘Life-Spring’ the easier it is for me to sink rather than swim, but when I make a strong effort to not allow myself to be led by negativity I still have to fully depend on God and by doing so I need to spend intimate time with the Lord: reading the Word, worshiping God, praying to God, waiting upon the Lord – and Being Still.
James 4:10 NIV. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
What we dive into is what comes out. Watching the wrong T.V. shows can pull us into terrible thoughts and dreams at night. Listening to the wrong influential music can pull us into darkness. Hanging out on social media that is negatively focused, clouds our mind.
Who you are, is who you’ll be…I refocus my eyes upon the Lord, refilling in the goodness God has in scripture, turning on the worship music to take my eyes off of myself, worshipping God and not dwelling in the worry of my misled own thoughts and refocus on Him, praying promises of God’s Word for the Truth in my life. I am God’s claimed by Him and through love and sacrifice He made me whole, I no longer have to fall into the enemy’s traps, when I keep focused on Him and fill up with the goodness of the Lord I stay free, since I am God’s I want what God has for me, I want Him to be my focus and for Him to be proud of me.
2 Timothy 3:16&17 NIV. 16 All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Heavenly Father God I love you, and I need you completely in my life at all times, please help me when I struggle, lift me up upon your lap, strengthen me to do Your Will. Help us keep our eyes on You at all times, even when we lack endurance Lord please carry us, allow Your Word in the scriptures to speak to us loud and clear, allow all of Your people to notice when we are being pulled in the wrong direction so we don’t get off track we stay the course into all of Your goodness always. I have submitted my whole self to You and You have made me whole through Your great mercy I am free, full of life and Your love, thank You Lord. I pray that when others call upon Your name, they are set free and the goodness of You comes out of them not the ugliness of the beast that is fulfilled with negative desires and bad influences help us to follow in Your guidance because it is the truth. Plead the Precious Blood of Jesus over all, in Jesus name, Amen.
