Essentials...

Pray – First, pray, to prepare your heart, to be open to receive the Word. Lord I pray as you share your Word my heart is open to receive it, in Jesus, name Amen. Psalm 51:10 NIV. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Empty – Come empty toward the Lord, so He can fill you. Fast your breakfast and while you spend time with God, He will become your nourishment and fill you up. Lord I pray while we fast you are our focus and we’re not distracted by food. I pray we are attracted to You instead. Psalm 73:26 NIV. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

Invite – Heavenly Father I invite you to equip me in the knowledge, wisdom and understanding, You, want me to take from Your Word. Lord I pray and invite you to enhance what you want me to learn from your Word, In Jesus name, Amen. Proverbs 2:6 NIV. For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth knowledge and understanding.

Ask – Holy Spirit to counsel and guide you in the Word you take in. Lord I pray Holy Spirit leads me through your Word. In Jesus name, Amen. John 14:26 NIV. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Action – Allow the ‘Bread of Life’ to become an action for your life. Lord I pray with the help of Your hand your Word becomes actions. In Jesus name, Amen. James 1:22 NIV. Do not merely listen to the word; and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Protect – The Word I receive is protected with the hand of our, Lord. God’s covering allows the seeds of the Word to be planted in ‘God Soil’. Lord I pray your Word is protected in my heart and that Your Word keeps its Life growing within, In Jesus name, Amen. Psalm 1:6 NIV. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Remind – The Word you accept and meditate on be the Truth, so it becomes a staple in your life and in your mind. The more you hear, read, and absorb the more it sinks in. Lord I pray as I meditate on Your Word of truth it soaks in deep and is where my mind rests, In Jesus name, Amen. Joshua 1:8 NIV. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

Encourage – Support, lift and build up others upon what the Word pf God says. Lord I pray you open doors of opportunity for me to share Your Word with others to bring them up so they will refocus their gaze unto you. In Jesus name, Amen. Luke 6:38 NIV. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Share – Sharing what God has done in your life and through you, you example Jesus and share His love, you allow what accomplishments you have succeeded in your life to fix their attention on God for He is the One to be shared. Lord I pray when sharing about all of our successes, You, are glorified and it is your name they speak of not ours, In Jesus name, Amen. Psalm 105:1 NIV. Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name; make known among the nations what he has done.

Pray – Always pray for others, always pray in Spirit the ‘Secret Code Language’. Lord I pray you strengthen our Spirit within us to enable us to speak and pray to you in tongues, Your sweet melody of Prayer Your Language. In Jesus name, Amen. Ephesians 6:18 NIV. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for the saints.

All of these notes are important strategies to taking in the Word of God more abundantly, more as an anointing over your lives. When our hearts are full of stuff it’s really hard to cram more in, so make room for God’s Word so you can better receive from the One who Loves you so deeply. Remember God is not pushy so inviting Him in all the aspects of our lives is crucial from day to day tasks to decisions only when asked can He be involved to give clarity and guide us in the way we should go. Have the Word become action is so, so, important when you take action is truly when the Word of God really comes to life in our lives, otherwise the words are just that, words? When the Word comes in and is not protected the enemy will come and distort them, even scripture. (Remember he sat beside God so he knows God well). Ever have a song stuck in your head… that’s what you want the Word of God needs to be like in your life so you are always ready and equipped when you are faced with a battle. Often people rise up feeling good when they hear, they’ve done well at something. It seems to increase a positive flow in our bodies, so how often has encouraging someone else done that for you to. It’s cool how encouraging someone else, can potentially allow you joy and the person you encourage joy. Share what God has done in your life, because you never know when either the person your sharing with needs to hear what God has done in your life or someone close by listening in and they become set free from God’s grace in your life’s story. Praying is essential, God’s will be done, through prayer.
