I am set free.
I am set apart.
I go with expectation.
I go with Holy Might.
I go with Holy Strength.
For He calls me His.
He calls me by name.
He calls me beautiful.
The Lord goes with me wherever I go and He protects what is behind me and He clears a path for righteousness in front of me.
Do you know He does this for you?
Don’t fall into the pit of lies:
If you are unsure if you have fallen into a pit of lies, you need to step into this habit… find a promise the Lord says about you in His Word and speak it out loud over yourself and to yourself. Honestly, we have heard enough garbage out there and we need to start believing who God says we are, not the lies of the enemy who tries to get us to believe lies about ourselves.
Song of Songs 4:7 NIV. All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you.
I started this post with some notes taken days ago and then when I sat down to write a bunch more encouraging words came so bear with me while we bounce around in this post…
Don’t fall into the pit of making the wrong choices:
A word of advice when the thing you are supposed to do are really hard it is usually the right thing to do, remember what Jesus did on the cross, now that was definitely not easy. (Just a thought). The Lord may lead you out of your comfort zone to do the right thing (like mend a fence with a friend) it may be difficult for you to take the first step but the harder it is, the better the choice – if that makes sense. You may think it is easier to throw your hands up and say never-mind with this I’m done, but that’s exactly what the enemy wants you to do -quit- and then you fall right into his trap you give up and fall right into his slimy pit, it may seem easy, and this way we may be taking the easy way out but be still and patiently wait till He tells you what decision to make.
Isaiah 30:21 NIV. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
Don’t fall into the pit of people pleasing:
People pleasing, if you are people pleasing you will always end up short. 1. You’ll never be happy because someone will end up disappointed in you because you’ll please one and not the other, you can’t please everyone. 2. You will fall short because there will always be another person who thinks you need to please them, even when you can’t please yourself. 3. All this people pleasing will exhaust you and you’ll wind up in a pit of despair. If you concentrate on pleasing God you have to please 1 not many and He’s the only One that matters anyway, besides He is already pleased with you. When you fall short in pleasing God, because it is bound to happen, when we fall short it is different His mercies are new every morning where others will not be happy when you let them down, and most don’t know how to have mercy. So please the Only One that matters, our Heavenly Father.
Psalm 118:8 NIV. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
Lamentations 3:22 & 23 NLT. The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Don’t fall into the pit of disobedience:
Scenario in pleasing God…
A little while ago the Lord laid it upon my heart to pray for someone and as the day to be able to obey came closer, I started to think about it, how it would play out, what to say, how to say it, yada – yada – yada! You know what I mean… Here I am the day is approaching and I start to talk myself out of it because of my over thinking, and over analyzing, I feel like this is why sometimes the Lord doesn’t share with us all the details or give us a task too early because we may eventually talk our selves out of doing it completely and it is actually a prompting for us to bless someone else. Its okay we learn and hopefully next time we will obey faster and remember God doesn’t ask us to do things that will be for nothing He always has a perfect plan in mind.
Final thoughts… The way of my old life still tries to find ways to capture me and keep me bound but my Heavenly Father doesn’t. He has set me free and has a purpose laid out for me and its beautiful. What the Lord wants from me is simple – too simple because I resort back, to I must have to struggle in order to succeed. A simple is way too hard for me to comprehend I’m used to fighting through blood, sweat and tears, working to the bone until I have no breath, but what He does is lift me, save me, secure me in His peaceful presence and I only need to be still and as I fall on my knees, I lift my eyes toward heaven and praise with my arms raised up high surrendering all that I am and all that I have and He takes it all lovingly. I am overcome and over whelmed of His pouring of constant love and embrace, He requires nothing from me but surrender and that glorifies Him above all because when I hold on to things it withholds His capacity and He has no limits to His design, for it is great and He is omnipresent, never-failing and He gives good gifts to His children so if this is Him. I need to let go and let God, yes, I know we’ve all heard that before but when we hold on and not let go to let God, it limits Him and with an Almighty God we are missing what He has instore for our lives that is so, so good and is limitless. Easier said than done, but if you want breakthrough, the sooner you need to let go and let God and the sooner He can get things done.
Psalm 34:17 & 18 NIV. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
I thank you Heavenly Father that in my life you have turned things around for me and I pray that others will be able to come and surrender to you as well, help me to keep letting go and not try to be the navigator for you see all and I only see bits and pieces therefore I don’t know the terrain but you do and since you know all and see all I place my life in Your hands and trust You, please help me strength my faith so I don’t keep trying to take over when I don’t know the whole outcome of my life but since You already know and the plans are great, Here I am!. I pray those struggling with letting go, or people pleasing will have enough faith in you also to let go and let You do Your thing, besides Your Word says You’ll do immeasurable more than we can possibly think or imagine, I’m ready please equip me in the way I should go I want to follow You. Plead the Precious Blood of Jesus over all, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ephesians 3:20 & 21 NIV. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
Set free - Psalm 146:7 NIV. He upholds the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free.
Set apart - Jeremiah 1:5 NIV. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Expectation - Mark 27-29 NIV. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched hi cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
Holy Might - Judges 16:12 NIV. Then Samson prayed to the Lord, O sovereign Lord, remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.
Holy Strength - 2 Samuel 22:33 NIV. It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
He calls us His - LNT. And it was a happy day for Him when He gave us our new lives, through the truth of His Word, and we became, as it were, the first children in His new family.
He calls us by name - 1 Samuel 3:8 NIV. The Lord called Samuel a third time, and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, "Here I am; you called me." then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy.
He calls us beautiful - Ecclesiastes 3 :11 NIV. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
