Breath…

Don’t breathe on your own, allow God to be your breath…
He is the One who gives breath to all. In all you do don’t breathe on your own, allow Him to breathe for you.
I couldn’t just let this pass, my mind kept bringing me back to breath (more likely Holy Spirit was bringing this up time and time again so I would not just pass it by like passing a sign on the highway, the Holy Spirit actually wanted me to stop turn around and pull over) and who holds it and what it means to breathe, especially when tough times come up and you feel you cannot catch a breath because the winds been knocked out of you. Or you feel as though you were punched in the gut as a low blow (I think?) like a sucker punch.
So here it is: many things suddenly appeared; things I have been through before, things very new that I don’t know much about and things giving me nightmares keeping me in a disturbed sleep waking up unsettled and with a gasp glad to not be where the nightmare took me and confused at the same time. (I know some of this is vague but details are not important, so here are scenarios but the solution is important and that is where we are going to focus).
Scenario 1 Finding yourself on a broken record spinning round again when you have already been here and maybe more than once, twice or thrice… You’ve overcome, you’ve healed, you’ve conquered.
Solution 1 Who gives you breath – Fixate on Him. Remember your promise He spoke about this situation and hold onto that Truth.
Scenario 2 I don’t know the answers and have not been involved in this before.
Solution 2 Who gives you breath – Fixate on Him. God has all the answers He knows all and sees all leave this scenario in His hands.
Scenario 3 Being swindled while your guard is down, when you should be sleeping.
Solution 3 Who gives you breath – Fixate on Him. Allow your last moments to be with the Lord and dwell in the presence of our most High God.
Isaiah 42:5 NIV. This is what God the Lord says- He who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it.
John 17:24&25 NLT. He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs-for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need.
2 Timothy 3:16&17 NIV. All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your breath, and all that Your breath does, its beautiful and lovely I am more at peace thinking about You breathing life into all You have created You are an amazing God and I love You. When darkness over shadows my sleep I know You are there and I will remember to position myself in Your presence before I close my eyes, help me to walk in Your ways always Lord so when troubles come my way the moment passes me by and I don’t wallow in them anymore, I no longer am led in the disparity of the circumstance but am in Your light and strength. I pray this for all of Your Saints. In Jesus name, Amen.
