Promise, prayer, scripture, verse, story.

Are you stuck in a cycle of misinterpretation, you are not who you say you are…?

When you say you are less than what God says and what Jesus has redeemed you for, you are questioning the Creator, and saying you could do a better job. (Really? ‘Could we’? Really, do a better job than the Almighty King? Honestly, I don’t think so, and truly I don’t think I even want the chance to try).

Bondage we face can be broken and will be broken when we truly know who we are in God, who He says we are. Only when we know that, that is when we will be set free. (I have to be reminded of this and sometimes its daily).

Micah 7:8 NIV. Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

John 8:32 NIV. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Isaiah 54:17 NIV. “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is there vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Proverbs 4:25-27 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left, keep your foot from evil.

These scriptures are breakthrough promises to keep you from harm and build you up in the Lord, for breakthroughs to come.

What God says, goes, and He only speaks good about His children, who He created, who He formed, who He designed, who He chose, who He loves.

- Only you can have a special relationship connection with God no one else can do it for you, and how strong you want to connect with the Lord is up to you. How much you want to hear clearly from the Lord and gain complete guidance from the Lord that you know through and through and have no doubts on how to walk the Lords way is totally up to you. You decide to spend time, you determine how much time, you sacrifice odd elements in your life that really don’t belong to put God first and then you will see the Spiritual manifestations of breakthrough beginning to unfold in your life. Dreams you never even thought possible will be magnified in God’s grace, your imaginative thoughts you day dreamed in your mind for years to come, God will give a multitude of blessings and Ooh! Awe! Moments you never could ever think or dream, God will present to you.

- Depending on how bad you want the breakthrough will determine the time you spend with God, filling up on His promises and believing what He says and you remembering who you belong to. You are off limits to the enemy – bondage are the territory of the enemy and as you begin to make a stand and step into Spiritual territory instead of stuck in bondage the going will get tough, before the tough gets going. Your strength will come from God, but the enemy will try to wear you down and try to keep you from Gods plan.

- As the going gets tough stand strong and firm breakthrough is about to take place and you need to keep your focus in not to giving up. Speak well of yourself, with the promised scripture verses God has laid out for your life, remember them, as you do you will gain power, strength, and wisdom. As you are fully clothed in the armor of God you are protected from all sides in this battle. As you step into freedom, breaking away from a hold back, tell yourself the promises and meditate on them in your mind and out loud. - Turn wrong thoughts over to God, any misleading, self-defeated noise you hear in your mind cover them with the truth and you will overcome every and any obstacle you are faced with. Eventually you will hear more positive, blessing-talk in your mind by the Mighty King, the Protector of your heart, our Loving Heavenly Father.

Doubting Thomas is the reflection story of the bible I would like to use as a reminder of breakthrough.

He was nicknamed doubting Thomas and was one who questioned about Jesus, Thomas needed proof to see with his own eyes, he was not about to believe the people, he wanted to learn for himself. His story is misled and we miss the truth in his example of ‘Questioning-Thomas’, or ‘Truth–Thomas’, or ‘Seeker-Thomas’? In this message Thomas pretty much says “don’t believe everything you hear.” This is a great example of how to deal with breaking-through because when Thomas’s faith lacked when he was away from Jesus, his faith was strengthened when he was in Jesus’s presence. We lack when we don’t go to Jesus and we are built up when we do go to Jesus.

John 20: 27-29 NIV. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I just want to thank Thomas for giving us this clarification to our faith, this story is a reminder to stay focused and staying focused allows us breakthrough. Thomas may have doubted but without his honesty of unbelief, we would not have such an impacted story in the bible to relate to when we have unbelief. Thomas’s hands touching Jesus’s wounds is something we are unable to do (For a moment close your eyes and picture being able to touch Jesus’s scars) but Jesus knew we would lack faith, so this is why this verse shares with us a blessing, for us trusting Jesus, when we cannot see Him.

My prayer is, Lord help us with our unbelief and provide us with the road you want us to travel on through the breakthrough. Heavenly Father I am grateful you have claimed us as yours and I no longer have to go through life aimlessly running in circles. I pray Lord you will break cycles and turn evil away, I pray you keep us from all harm as your Word says and I trust in your loving arms to hold us when we need to be held and to protect us when we need protection. I pray that your armor is unbreakable and the sword of truth is uplifted in Jesus’s Holy name. I pray we will come to you Lord with humble hearts and trust you to renew our minds and restore our thoughts to be only what you say. I thank you Lord for Thomas and his bravery to ask, in John 20:25 NIV. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.” Lord thank you for all your blessings and your Word, plead the precious blood of Jesus over us all, In Jesus name, Amen.
