*Definition = to observe, look at, see.
Job 34:21 NLT. For God watches how people live; he sees everything they do.
Accepting Jesus is one thing but after accepting Jesus are you allowing God to be your complete 'way to go' inviting God's way is another…
Since God is the ‘beholder’ of all things, why are we turning to Jack and Jill to influence our lives. Instead let’s be led by Holy Spirit, let’s turn to the Word of God in the Scriptures and if we are unable to find answers there we need to keep listening to God and keep praying, if you don’t find the answer maybe the endeavor is not the right one for your life, God has a better plan. You can trust God He knows exactly how your life is going to turn out all the way from beginning to end. Jesus didn’t rescue us for nothing, He completed His mission opened up the Holy Spirit for our own personal guide and director in a deep God way. Jesus didn’t ask so-and-so, He went to the Father all the way through His walk, He prayed to God.
Omnipresent – God is everywhere at the same time.
Proverbs 15:3 NIV. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
Omnipotent – God has ultimate power and influence.
Job 42:1&2 NIV. 1 Then Job replied to the Lord: 2 I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted.
Omniscient – God knows everything.
Psalm 44:21 NIV. Would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?
God is all in all, so when we come up against something, Why, do we go to Jack and Jill for the advice we need, when God knows everything, is all powerful and is everywhere at the same time?
Human nature has been misconstrued and has become distorted in where we need to be getting our directions from and should not be from other people.
Struggling with decisions of life: should I take this class, go to that collage, work in this place, move across the country? What would Jack or Jill tell you to do? Possibly why do you want to learn that and take that class, nonsupport because they are not you, they don’t know what you need. Don’t go to that collage I heard they don’t have a good program, a rumor started and someone took it to heart that the collage is no good because the Jack or Jill that went there didn’t put in the effort and the outcome was they failed and now it’s the collages fault. You don’t want to work there? They don’t treat their employees very well, Jack or Jill worked there and got fired for being sick one day, another tell-tale. If you move there you won’t know anybody and you have to start all over, Jack or Jill may not have the drive you do to be able to start from scratch and make new friends. Now the advice from Jack or Jill could go another way by being supportive and talking you into going to the collage, taking that job or moving across country but they still have this in common, they don’t typically know you from the inside out and can’t exactly know whether the yes or no choice you make is going to be the right one. God only knows, and knows all the fine print details that go along with your choice that you don’t take the time to read.
Whatever decisions that come our way in life if we are not asking God, we are always asking the wrong person no matter if it is Jack or Jill our supportive friends. God is all knowing, He has laid out our lives already and since He is a thousand years ahead don’t you think He will give you the best answer to direct you properly for your particular life choices made specific for you.
Psalm 90:4 NLT. For you, as a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours.
2 Peter 3:8 NIV. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
God the ‘beholder’ should be our go to in all our life’s endeavors. He’s all powerful, everywhere, knows all, it just makes sense that the One all - knowing is the best place for guidance, the One all - powerful can change things in an instant, the One who’s everywhere at the same time can oversee anything and everything we can’t, let’s trust God to be our go to whenever we are faced with anything in life, when we need to make a decision it’s okay to bounce ideas off of others who are supportive in your life but they don’t know the whole package God does, go to the Father always.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the Holy Spirit within so that we are guided correctly in the right decisions we need to be making for our lives, I thank You for the Jack and Jill’s support but You are the all in all and I want all my decisions to always be made through You. Help Your people to want to come to You first, prayerfully and patiently awaiting Your clear word to move in the right direction You ultimately know for us to go. Give peace to those struggling to be patient and allowing a calming answer to come to them. Love You Lord, thank You for allowing my ears to hear You clearly and without uncertainty. In Jesus name, Amen.
James 1:5 NIV. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
