Ever become aggravated with little things people do around you… either it be what someone does in your work place, kids at home, friends or family members, or even those you’re around in the doctor’s office grocery store or bank etc.?

Well I’m here to break it to you gently those around us are NOT the problem. The aggravation comes from the enemy nipping at our heals, you know the one we want to try avoid but he keeps creeping into those times where we are just having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day, yah! the deceiver, manipulator and destroyer of our joy that’s who I am talking about. So, let’s face it we all get in a huff from time to time about others ruffling up our feathers, annoying us, rubbing us the wrong way pushing our buttons. But when we stop and realize the enemy is in tow - masquerading around like an angle of light undercover sneaking around our thoughts and emotions waiting for the perfect opportune time to pounce on our feelings being stirred up in a stressful storm, we can defeat him. The principalities are the problem not God’s children, even those who have not accepted Christ into their lives yet. Every person is fair game to the enemy, but it is our job to keep him underfoot with God’s mighty power and Gods full armor to take our stand against the enemy’s schemes.

By us reading and abiding by God’s Word we know what to do…

First the Word says, Ephesians 6:12 NIV. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Knowing this, you now know who you are fighting, if you’re fighting the wrong battle there will be no Victory. The devils time is short now more then ever, we need to stand strong and stand up to fight off this spiritual warfare.

Second line yourself up with the Word of God and what it says to do… Ephesians 6:13-17 NIV. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. One is just as important than the other, if you don’t bring your sword with you you have no defense mechanism to fight off what is coming at you, you forget your helmet and it’s an easy target of defeating you cause there is nothing protecting your head, a shield is only good when used in battle to deflect what is coming at you but not carrying it you become a weak target easily penetrable, forgetting your boots and you’ll have no grip on the soles of your feet to gain traction when you need it most, not having your breastplate on you have no hope in stopping a blow to your life pumping organ and you can’t protect your heart, and finally missing your belt you have nothing holding your armor in place and no way of protecting your reproductive organs, nothing to hold your sword and as you physically strike and move in action you will be off balance tripping over you falling armor because the belt holds everything in place.

In other words:

Belt of truth – Reading Gods Word allows you to hear Gods voice and gives you the arsenal to be equipped for battle.

Breastplate of righteousness – Taking Gods Word to heart believing in His ability to make things good in your life, by allowing God into all parts of your life’s decisions.

Feet fitted – Gospel of peace allows you to take it as it comes whether calm streams or waves when you are positioned feet fitted in the gospel of peace the distraction the enemy tries to throw at you in those moments don’t move your position, when he tries to make things seem worse than they are or dangles chaos in front of you, you don’t budge, you stay fitted in peace strong in stature.

Shield of faith – No matter what you are not moved by what is around us we stand by what God says we trust God not reports, we believe God.

Helmet – Put on the mind of Christ and be connected more closely to your Heavenly Father so you can hear, see, and do for the Kingdom of God. The enemy will always attack your mind to remove your focus distort your thoughts and try to twist your thinking to take you out, when you place the Helmet of salvation upon your head keep it fixed by renewing your mind through Christ and being very careful what your eyes see and your ears hear, don’t let terrible things in to dilute your Salvation.

Sword of truth – Gods Word is yes and amen, promises are His truth and our victory to fighting the enemy. God’s Word is powerful beyond our imagination and when we pick up our sword and use it against the darkness of the spiritual realm, we become victorious, fighting the right battle and winning for our God is stronger, mightier and He is the ‘Ultimate Conqueror’ of all evil.

Now that you have your complete armor on your fully protected and with your sword in hand lets fight the enemy together, by Word of scripture Jesus overcame and we will too. Become a force to be recon with, Amen.
