Struggle / Strangle
When we are having a tough time and start to struggle we can get caught up in our net of stress and begin to feel strangled.
Stress is a silent killer usually from the inside out, some people may not even notice it building up but when we allow it to take shape we become weak.
Tangled in my net…
When I allow stress to fill up inside me I feel tightness in my abdomen, soon everything in my tummy starts to tighten up really tight strangling my insides, my system starts to shut down and does not operate properly it functions rather slow and very weak. It takes WEEKS for my body to correct itself. To top it all off I start feeling down on myself and depression begins to creep in, I wallow in self-pity and if I don’t regain consciousness soon I’ll FLAT LINE…allowing stress to take over, my body will fail.
Tangled in my net…
Sometimes the stress I allow to grip me starts to strangle the inside of my head causing me to have migraine headaches, where yet again I feel low and down on myself, even to the point of anger trying to tap into my mood that is already negative from the cause and the effects of the pain I’m angry for a day being stolen away, from a migraine. If I don’t relieve the pressure soon my head will explode…allowing stress to overtake my thoughts and causing me to sink negatively.
How do we change our outcome of this day? How do we rise above the negative stress? How do we stop what causes our systems to shut down or our heads to feel like there being closed in a vise tighter and tighter making us want to scream in pain even though we can’t because it hurts way too much? What do we do?
First - Look to our King… Unload our burdens upon the Lord and trust He will figure everything out for our day to be enjoyed. This way we will not wallow and we will know God has us.
Rest – Rest is best, sometimes we just need rest. Whether we need to physically rest and catch some zzzz’s or we actually need Spiritual rest, resting upon our Heavenly Father. This way we will be filled up spiritually and won’t be lacking, we will be more equipped to handle our stressful situations that usually would bring us down to handling these situations with peace.
Pray - Before our days even start, allow God to be ahead of you and pray He will guide our day and make our way and we’ll be more prepared to pass by the enemy’s ploy, of stress.
Psalm 16:8 NIV I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Matthew 11:28 NIV “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Job 33:26 NLT When he prays to God, he will be accepted. And God will receive him with joy and restore him to good standing.
Lord, I pray Heavenly Father that no matter what anyone is facing right now Lord I pray you will detach the burden and break off the disease of stress upon our bodies, that there would be no more strings attaching us to this sickness. Lord, I pray your mighty hand be laid upon all of us who suffer from stress and Lord I pray your healing touch upon us all who suffer from migraines and other stress sicknesses. Lord I pray these ills are now detached from us and that we gain full ability in you. Lord I pray that your grace is upon us and your mercy felt in these areas that we are able to let go and let you God come so full healing can and will show up in our bodies. Lord I thank you for your word is true and these promises are ours that you have given for us to gain full enjoyment in our lives and that no longer will days be stolen from us. I thank you lord for your word and love upon our lives I am grateful for your Holy hand upon us always Lord. Heavenly Father I love you and thank you for this freedom in Jesus Precious and Holy name, Amen.
