An Act of Love…

The first Sunday Church service online I took a position still in my pajamas, coffee and Bible in hand ready for the service, I love God but, in this position, it was a little slack and a subtle act of love.

Yes, I took a position of being ready to receive God’s Word but it was nonchalant it was not near the position I normally adjust myself to, to soak into the Word of God and open up fully.

Actions speak louder than words…

The next Sunday Church service online, even though I didn’t really need to get out of my pajamas, I’d just like to say I decided to get ready anyway for Church as though it would be at Church in the building like normal. Coffee and Bible in hand I was ready… I Worshipped like a ‘Mighty Worship Warrior’ that I am soaking it all in and I opened myself up, as I took this position I was filled up by God’s blessing through the Word of Truth and out of my action of loving God worshipping and praising Him, His love flows deeper in. Last Sunday felt mediocre and I did not show in my actions much love, but this Sunday loving God with actions was such a joy.

God loves us no matter what, in this example I am simple stating that God can only work with what you give Him to work with. At first, I gave a small dose of myself to God and it was like a checklist – check, done, move on, the second round I completely was available to God and His outpouring overjoyed me. The time I spent during Church service the second time was way more special.

You can say you love all you want to, but the word love does not express it because love is an action, you need to show love.

1 John 3:18 NIV. Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

With things around us changing day to day, it’s a good time to show love towards God, and in a position of a love action, it will not be unnoticed by God. Since Church is now held online and in our own homes it is hard to interact with our fellow Church Family, and gather together for a service but we can pray for one another and continue to take an action of love toward God even in our living rooms.

Psalm 7:17 NIV. I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Psalm 5:12 NIV. For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with favor as with a shield.

Heavenly Father God I love you and I know you love with an everlasting love, it is so beautiful, thank You for loving me the way You do, I want all the love You have for me and I pray You help me fill up with Your love so I can love others the way You do. Father I pray there is a love waking up inside of Your people while things are going on around us, so that when we come back together again the air changes briskly and Your love fills in all the empty spaces. I pray Lord the places where your love hasn’t been found before will be full of Your love, so that You are more visible than ever before. Lord I pray for people to love with actions and not use love words, that kindness over takes them and gracious compassion like You character will become our character. I pray Heavenly Father that Your people will also take a position of praise and worship, in a love act to show You how important You are to all of them and they will stand in awe of You in their homes while Church is online for now, in Jesus Precious and Holy Name I pray, Amen.
