A person in control, one who exercises authority, a person who makes decisions, a master over, an overseer.

I’m not saying God is bossy, like in a nagging negative way, I’m calling Him ‘Boss’ in a respective aspect as He is in control – not controlling, He has all authority – not negatively or demanding with a gavel but He is the main judge (I hope this isn’t confusing), He makes decisions – He is perfect, He is master – over all, He is our creator, He is overseer – He sees all and is over all – He resides in Heaven – Heaven is above.

Proverbs 15:3 NIV. The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch over the wicked and the good.

When we are here walking the earth short of Adam and Eve walking and talking with the Lord, we are in close intimate connection at all times with Him who resides on the inside of us all. (When you accept Jesus as Lord over your life, you gain a perfect gift from your Heavenly Father Holy Spirit). Holy Spirit is our guide our boss in a loving way. Side Note: I don’t want you to miss the importance of the description base that I am trying to get across because boss can be a negative output especially when used in an wrongful way. The Lord always knows what’s best and is always wanting the best for each one of us.

What a great employer to work for, submit to, serve, respect, honor, and obey. (I’m sure there are more).

Work for:

- We work in a different way for the Lord.

- We are advancing His kingdom to bring Glory to Him.

- Work is made up of extending His persona to others that actually is sharing His grace, love, friendship, and character.

Submit to:

- This is surrendering our lives that are away from Him allowing us to move toward Him.

- Denying ourselves to someone of greatness and perfection.

- Our sinful nature dies and we are created new by Him.

Serve:

- Worship the Lord only.

- You cannot serve two masters.

Respect:

- Reverence the Lord, as we do, we can respect others.

- A way to concentrate on right choices.

Honor:

- Wherever you are please God by honoring Him anywhere you go.

- Changing the things of wrong and replacing them with right things.

Obey:

- He only prompts you to do right things.

- He is a good and loving God.

- When you receive a specific task from Him, it is meant to bless others and as you do, you’ll be blessed, this advances His kingdom and glory is His.

I am grateful to have accepted a position to help advance the Kingdom of the Lord. Sometimes we need to accept this assignment this way and follow His lead then we can remember we belong we mean something to Him and we each have a place with Him. When we put it this way we can stop pressing into strife and performance auditions to see if He notices us, this is not a world position it is a kingdom position and we are already in our spot there’s no application, cover letter, or resume. All we need to do is accept Jesus and you’re in – Jesus says, no He actually declared: John 6:35-40 Then Jesus declared. “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never go thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from Heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me but raise them up in the last day. For my Fathers will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 14:6 NIV. Jesus answered, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Once you’ve accepted Jesus you are graced with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NIV. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:21&22 NIV. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm on Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. After this you are on kingdom advancement and the only task at hand is in you through Holy Spirit and the Lord guides you in everything you do to bring glory to Him, His Will, not yours, serve Him only and the rest is no pressure, they’re will be trials and tribulations but take heart Jesus overcame the world and even death.

Ephesians 2:18 NIV. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

I thank You Heavenly Father for such a well equipped never failing continually giving gift of the Holy Spirit our promise and guarantee, without Jesus completing His task here on earth there would have never been a way for us to be saved. Help us to be strong in obedience for You like Jesus so we can accomplish/complete the task you set out for us to do as well. Heavenly Father pour out an abundance of Your strength, courage and ability so stay the course, Your Will be done. Holy Father I am in awe of You and I love You. In Jesus name, Amen.
